This website reports the ACT® WorkKeys National Career Readiness Certificates earned at the county and state level and the progress being made by those participating states and counties in the ACT Work Ready Community initiative. This site only represents data stored in the ACT RegiSTAR™ system, a web-based reporting and management tool for ACT WorkKeys National Career Readiness Certificates.
All data is updated monthly. State and national ACT WorkKeys NCRC data have been reported since January 2006, while county-level NCRC data are available beginning in January 2012 for WorkKeys Internet Version assessments and July 2012 for paper-and-pencil assessments. State job profile data are available beginning in January 2007, and national job profile data extend back to 1993. State and national certificate totals may include historical data collected before 2012.
WorkKeys® assessments are used across the nation, and many states have built their own Career Readiness Certificates based upon WorkKeys assessment results. You will find an asterisk denoting those states. This website will continue to evolve as the first two rounds of participating states give us feedback on what they would like to see -- and based on your feedback, as well.

About Texas Work Ready Communities
ACT Work Ready Communities (WRC) empowers communities and states with process, data and tools deployed in a common workforce development framework to drive economic growth by certifying communities as "work ready" when established goals are attained.
Think of it as a docking station where all participants plug into the common community-level ACT Work Ready Community criteria as part of establishing community goals.
The common criteria are based upon the ACT WorkKeys National Career Readiness Certificate (ACT WorkKeys NCRC) and business engagement to create a community-based workforce development process that links, aligns and matches the community's workforce development efforts to the needs of business and industry. The goal is for all participating communities to achieve certified work ready status.
ACT is leading this national effort with a two-session Boot Camp within a 3-month window to help participants share best practices, customize the national implementation framework or their own needs and build career pathways aligned to growth industries.
